From the airport

Travelling to WCUCC 2023 from the Edmonton International Airport (EIA)? Here are a few ways of getting to the University of Alberta. Note that EIA is 15 minutes south of Edmonton, in Leduc, Alberta.

Uber

Uber is a ride hailing company that provides set fares, which vary using a dynamic pricing model based on local supply and demand at the time of the booking and are quoted to the rider in advance. Rates are ~$50-60 from the University of Alberta to EIA.

Note: Users must download the Uber app in order to ride.

Public buses

Buses travel directly from Edmonton International Airport to Century Park Transit Centre (transfer to LRT) and return (with 1 stop en route). The bus service runs 7 days a week from 4:10am - 12:30am with 30 to 60 minute intervals. Free Wi-Fi internet access is included. Public buses can be found outside Arrivals Gate 8. Cost is $5 one way (no transfer permitted). Once at Century Park, simply switch to the LRT.

LRT

The LRT (Light Rail Transit) Capital Line travels from Century Park Transit Centre directly to the University of Alberta (University Station) with 4 stops en route. Cost is $3.50 one way (90-minute transfer period).

Wi-Fi service is available at all LRT platforms. Users can access the free public Wi-Fi by selecting Open City Wi-Fi from the list of wireless networks on devices.
